Jacksonville sits outside the Lowcountry, but it is close enough to work and the band plays there. Weddings, corporate events and private parties, with the same set and the same horn section.
A bigger city, a different room
Jacksonville spreads out in a way the Lowcountry does not, and events run across a much wider range of spaces: riverfront venues downtown, hotel ballrooms, country clubs, beach properties out toward the coast.
What does not change is what a planner is trying to achieve. A full dance floor for three hours is the same job in Jacksonville as it is in Savannah.
Corporate work
Jacksonville carries far more corporate event volume than anywhere else in the service area. Awards dinners, holiday parties, conference receptions, company anniversaries.
For those rooms the band leans on recognizable material and reads the night rather than running a fixed set. The horn section is a genuine asset for a corporate crowd, because it signals the company spent real money without anyone having to say so.
The set
189 songs in the book, across Motown and classic soul, R&B and funk, disco, classic rock, current pop, standards, and the first dance songs a reception needs. Requests outside the list can usually be learned with enough notice.
Travel
Jacksonville is about two and a half hours from home base, which puts it outside the usual Lowcountry radius. It is a travel date rather than a local one, so it is worth asking early and confirming details when you inquire.
